The Black Feather crew is bringing along a few cases of Double Gold bourbon and whipping up a batch of cocktails, especially made for festival goers. We’ll also be debuting our new app, which brings our bottle to life and offers you some great swag. Get your tickets here and come hungry!

North Texas, you’re invited to a listening party with the Last Knife Fighter at the outstanding and ideally situated Belmont Hotel in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas. Black Feather Whiskey will be flowing steady, just like the Trinity River, and the Last Knife fighter will regale the party with tunes from his latest outlaw country songbook.

If you’ve never been to the Belmont, you’re about to discover a home away from home. It’s a sprawling series of classic stucco buildings that surround a pool, a comfortable lounge, and an outdoor patio that arguably offers the best skyline views in the city. The Black Feather crew will be pouring warm weather cocktails and offering a few other surprises to be announced just prior to the event. See you there!

Black Feather is taking the show on the road. This past Monday, we set up shop at the mysterious and recently renovated Still Golden in San Antonio, Black Feather presented the Texas premier of Spirit Pilots: a series of documentary shorts directed and produced by Black Feather founder Jeremy Rawle.

Spirit Pilot features hometown hero, Charles Cooper, a local blacksmith who hand-shapes knives from Damascus steel. His story and outlook on life is nothing short of legendary. Charles will have a few knives on hand and he will personally press the flesh with anyone who shows up.

In addition to meeting Charles, you’ll see a hatter producing perfection with centuries-old methods and machinery, a San Juan Capistrano apparel brand reviving old-school standards of quality and character, and a guitar legend who is pushing his craft as hard as he can.

The Blue Box Bar is a local drinking establishment in San Antonio that serves up draft beer, cocktails, and on occasion entire picnic tables of crawfish. Black Feather had the pleasure of hosting a crawfish boil on the night of the NCAA Tournament Championship.

As the sun was setting and the propane pot came to a full boil, two large coolers of crayfish were cooked in batches and dumped onto tables on the front patio. Meanwhile, the bar staff got busy shaking up Raven Water cocktails: lemon-yellow whiskey drinks with ginger beer and ice, served in a tall hi ball glass.

The game was a blow out: Villanova was on fire. If there were any Michigan fans in attendance, they seemed preoccupied with cracking open platefuls of tiny crustaceans. All things considered, it was a perfect springtime night in San Antonio.

Houston. The vibe of this beautiful city may catch you off-guard. The air is different, more coastal and full of springtime whiffs. The nights are easy-going and welcoming. And, one of the best places to experience Houston is a bar named Wicklow Heights. A cottage with a patio the size of a small playground basketball court, plenty of outdoor seating, and garden lighting.

At the end of March Wicklow Heights invited Black Feather to make Old Fashioned cocktail specials and to do a meet and greet with everyone from the neighborhood. The music was spot on and the weather was perfect. Everyone enjoyed a break in the rain and stayed until early morning hours. Cheers to Wicklow for a great vibe, friendly staff, and a perfect evening.
